Our Facilities

Located on 42,715 sq. metres of land within the new housing suburb of Al Barsha South, GEMS World Academy, Dubai provides state-of-the-art facilities for student life and learning.

The ground floor kindergarten classrooms lead from the dedicated elementary school reception to the KG indoor and outdoor play areas. KG children benefit from their own computers dedicated to early childhood needs.

The elementary building also holds over 40 spacious and well-appointed, ICT- rich classrooms. Secondary school classrooms include additional learning areas such as a Design Technology lab, Art room, Language labs and tutoring rooms.

The Discovery World

Our Discovery World is the heart of our school and features a spacious library which is the focal point of the school with science, robotics, design technology and arts clustered around it.

A feature of the library is the integration of computer and ICT resources that provide teachers and students with different options for personal study and group work.

The Planetarium

The showcase of Discovery World undoubtedly is the school's very own Planetarium - the most technologically advanced Planetarium in the UAE. The planetarium provides students of all ages to reach far beyond regular learning tools, to discover, explore and understand the world around us. 
 

Sports facilities

Various modern sports facilities encourage physical activity and healthy competitiveness in sports. Some of these include a 400m athletic track and all-weather artificial pitch; a 6-lane, 50m covered swimming pool and trainer pool; covered tennis and squash courts; a large gymnasium, fitness centre as well as a junior gym and indoor climbing wall.

Auditorium

The 620-seater Auditorium is a centre for the performing arts and used for many activities such as orchestras, choirs, theatre productions and conferences.
 

Symphony Centre

The Symphony Centre is a designated hall of learning that supports the development of the performing arts. A wide range of facilities combine traditional philosophies while supporting our students for the future of music making and media technology.

Peace Garden

The Peace Garden is located on the roof and is accessed through the atrium stairs from the library. The garden is an outdoor space for meeting and relaxation and will develop exhibits generating thought and discussion.
