Year 1 Teacher

My name is Jo and I am from Canberra, Australia. I graduated from the University of Canberra with a Bachelor of Education and have spent most of my 10 year career working and studying in Australia.

I was lucky enough to work in the United States for a year in 2010-11 with Visiting International Faculty in North Carolina. It was an experience I will never forget and has taught me about Global Education and the US Curriculum.

I have been involved in writing and trialling the new Australian National Curriculum and have guest lectured at the Australian National University.

When not teaching, I work as an actor and love the Broadway scene.

I look forward to working at GEMS Wellington Primary School and having a positive and motivated year ahead.
