Kelly Carter

Hello! My name is Kelly Carter and I am from England. Having studied Primary Education at Reading University I graduated with a BA Honours in Art with qualified teacher status. After graduating I returned home to Croydon where I taught in Key Stage 2 for four years gaining the position of PSHE co-ordinator. 

I moved to Dubai in 2009 which enabled me to combine my passion for travel with my passion for teaching.  After another fantastic year teaching in Key Stage 2 I decided to make a change and move to Year 2. The Year 2 teachers are motivated and excited about the year ahead; I am pleased to be a part of this team.  I too am very enthusiastic about teaching and strive to make my lessons stimulating and child lead so that all the children can reach their full potential.
 
I am also privileged to have the role of Curriculum Development Co-ordinator, which provides me with the pleasure of leading the skilled teaching staff here at GWPS towards a more creative and dynamic curriculum.  It is my role to develop and manage the curriculum to suit the needs of our children in the 21st century.  I believe in giving children memorable & engaging experiences, enabling them to develop enquiring minds which are naturally respective of others.
 
In my spare time I enjoy travelling, reading, swimming and yoga.
