Parent Involvement at GEMS JPS

Jumeirah Primary School encourages parents to be as involved as they can in school life and there are many ways to get involved!

Monthly forums and coffee mornings provide an opportunity to learn more about GEMS JPS in an informal setting. There are often guest speakers at these mornings and the dates they are held are communicated to our parents via our weekly newsletter.

Many parents offer welcome assistance in the classroom in areas such as reading, hall displays, Design and Technology days and excursions.
Apart from parent teacher interviews twice a year, regular information sessions are held during school time and in the evenings about the curriculum and ways you can help your child’s learning at GEMS JPS.

Becoming a class representative or sharing this role with another parent is an excellent way to get involved in school life as well as welcoming new families to the school. This also provides opportunities for social interaction for class parents and children outside of school.

Various exciting activities occur throughout the school year which are dependent on input from our enthusiastic parent body.  Events such as International Day, Annual Cake Sale, Santa’s Visit, Charity Ball, Trash n Treasure Sales, Mother’s Day Sales and End of Year Parties are organised for our students. In addition there is a Second Hand JPS Uniform Shop that also manages Lost Property with the help of our Student Council.

All JPS parents are welcome to be a part of these activities and new ideas are encouraged.

Please contact the school to find out more or email directly to jpsparentsassociation@gmail.com
