To increase the knowledge of Islam we share with the children, the stories of prophets, manners of living in a Muslim's life, the five pillars of Islam such as faith and others. We also pay attention to the religious occasions such as Eid Al-fitar and Eid Aladha, so that the children realise their importance and value.
Also we encourage the children to respect and memorize the Holy Quran by organizing competitions because the Holy Quran builds character and conscience of a true Muslim. Therefore, the Department of Islamic Education has started a competition for students of Years 3 to 6, who take Islamic Studies. The competition, which covers the Thirtieth Part of the Holy Quran, will have two phases. We are asking parents to encourage the children to complete the card which is attached to their Islamic Book. There will be prizes at the end of the contest for those children who have mastered the Thirtieth part of the Quran.
