JPS Camps and Outdoor Trips Every year all of the children in upper Key Stage 2 are able to be involved in an outdoor experience, ranging from a day trip to the desert to camping out in the wilderness.
![]() Camps are vital part of the learning that happens in JPS; it directly relates to our SECRET and gives children the skills to become lifelong learners. They build confidence, Self-Management skills and have the opportunity of be a part of a team in a fun, safe and exciting environment.
![]() School camps are memory making moments, which children get the opportunity to step out of their comfort zones and try new activities and learn new skills.
![]() This year we worked closely with Ecoventure to develop camps for Year 3, 4, 5 and 6. Year 3 ventured into the desert to search for dinosaurs footprints during their IPC topic, Dinosaurs.
![]() They had great time being archeologists for the day, actually discovering some rare footprints of aVelociraptor! Year 4 got the opportunity to sleep over night at the Ecoventure Field Studies Centre, learning lots about the local environment and animals.
![]() Year 5 had a wet time during their camp, the Dhow trip was a definite highlight for everyone. Lastly, the Year 6 had fun canoeing, kayaking and learning some important survival skills.
![]() All camps were a great success, thanks to all the instructors, teachers and children for making it such a memorable experience!
