Clean Up U.A.E 12.12.11

On 12th December 2011 the Tenth Annual “Clean up U.A.E “campaign organized by Emirates Environmental Group was held in 109 locationsacross the country
At Nad Al Sheba Former UAE Minister of Environment and Water
Dr. Mohammad Saeed Al Kindi inaugurated the event. Habiba Al Marashi, the EEG chairperson present at the event said -"This (Clean up UAE campaign) is our own way of keeping the wisdom of the 'Spirit of the Union' alive and expressing our love and loyalty to the country which we have been doing for the past decade,"

Eighty boys with the co-ordinator Mrs. Bala Sadasivan and two teachers Mrs. Sunita Kaul and Mr. Elias from The Millennium School demonstrated their commitment to keep the environment clean. They took part in collecting items ranging from discarded carpets, carelessly thrown plastic bottles,tetra packs and cans. There was an exhibition educating the students on the five elements of the earth. Two of our boys Jai Lalwani and Raihan Mohammed Riaz also spoke about the need to care for the country's environment.
