Registration

Online registration for admission for the new academic year commences in early December of each year and is the first step in the procedure. Parents seeking admission for their wards are to go to the school website www.gemsoo-dubai.com and register. The school will notify the parent on availability of vacancy in the grade for which admission is sought for completion of procedure.

Admission procedures laid down by the Ministry of Private Education are strictly adhered to as given below.

Age Guidelines

For admission to KG 1 the child must be 3 years old by the 15th of April.

For admission to KG 2 the child must be 4 years old by the 15th of April.

For admission to Grade 1 the child must be 5 years old by the 15th of April.

Documents to be submitted with the Registration Form

1. 4 copies of the student's passport with valid visa for the U.A.E.
2. 5 recent photographs of the child- size (6x4) cm. In addition one stamp size photo for the bus card.
3. Three photocopies of the birth certificate in English or Arabic. (Please attach the original also for verification).
4. Photocopy of the original mark sheet of the last examination passed at the previous school. (This is required for students coming from Grade 2 and upwards)
5. Students seeking admission to the school from Grade 2 and upwards are required to submit the original Transfer Certificate/School Leaving Certificate of the school last attended, duly attested as per the guidelines given below:

a) For students coming from outside the U.A.E. the following order of attestation must be observed for the Transfer Certificate

i. For students coming from India : 

• The original Transfer Certificate has to be verified by the Education officer of the Zone/District/Area, from where the T.C has been obtained. For ICSE and CBSE students the T.C. to be attested from their respective boards.
•  The seal and signature of the Education Officer has to be attested by the Indian Consulate in Dubai.
•  The Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Dubai/Sharjah-U.A.E to further attest the T.C..

ii. For students coming from Gulf Countries other than the U.A.E. & Oman, the Transfer Certificate to be attested as given below should be

1. The original Transfer Certificate has to be attested by the Indian Consulate in that country.
2. The Transfer Certificate has to be verified by the Local Education Ministry of that country.
3. The Transfer Certificate has to be attested by the External Affairs Ministry of that particular country.
4. The U.A.E. Consulate or Embassy in that particular country has to attest it.

iii. For students coming from Oman: 

• All the above attestation excluding (No. 2) to be done. 

b) Students coming from within the U.A.E. are required to submit the original Transfer Certificate/School Leaving Certificate of the school last attended, duly attested by the Ministry of Education.

c) All admissions from KG to Grade XII done after 15th June require a studying/ discontinued T.C. which is valid for only 30 days from the last date of attendance. All attestations remain the same as above.

Withdrawal

There is a specific application form for withdrawal from the school, available with the Registrar/Reception.

Parents are advised to give at least a month's notice to the school while applying for a Transfer Certificate or a School Leaving Certificate.

Parents are requested to collect the Medical Record of their ward from the Medical Room after collecting the Transfer/Leaving Certificate.

NOTE:
All those who pass the All India Secondary School Examination (Grade X) do not automatically qualify for admission to Grade XI. The Principal reserves the right to refuse admission to any student whose character and conduct or academic performance is not satisfactory.

All students of Grades 9 to 12 are expected to wear their navy blue blazers from 1st November onwards.
