29^th November, 2011 was a unique day for Our Own English High School, Fujairah. The school was granted an audience with His Highness Sheikh Mohamed Bin

Hamad Al Sharqi, the Crown Prince of Fujairah wherein the Principal, Mr. Srivalsan Murugan, the KG supervisor, Mrs. Joscelyn Fernandez along with some enthusiastic Kindergarten scholars, presented His Highness a 200 meter-long banner with palm prints of Parents, Staff and Students proclaiming the message ‘OUR OWN FUJAIRAH, SALUTES THE NATION’.

The drive to have the banner ready, incidentally started with the mark of the 40-day celebration wherein each day palm prints from parents, students and teachers were taken on the banner. Incidentally, this is the longest banner of such a kind in Fujairah. His Highness Sheikh Mohamed Bin Hamad Al Sharqi, the Crown Prince was visibly touched and congratulated OOF on such a feat and display of love and respect towards the Nation. The Principal extended an invitation to His Highness to visit the school. His Highness has promised to visit the school in the near future.
