THE ENGLISH EXTRAVAGANZA

The children of Grades 3 and 4 were in profound zeal and  enthusiasm when they celebrated the English Week from the 20th – 24th of May. The activities conducted throughout the week helped them to explore the new vistas of the language. The week started off with the Calligraphy Competition where the students displayed their hand writing skills in the form of art.  The Word Builder was a brain teaser where they acted spontaneously identifying the new words.  The Spell-bee competition tested their mettle in English spelling via a learning-through-fun approach. The wizards in spelling participated actively by exhibiting their capability and it turned out to be a huge success. Various possibilities of English Language were showcased in the assembly conducted during the week. The culmination day witnessed their skills in story writing, where their imagination flew wild when they produced their creative writing pieces in the form of an open – ended story. All the activities conducted ensured whole class participation. The English Week thus proved to be a humongous success where the children dived deep into the multifarious possibilities of English language.
