What is GEMS Music Academy?
GEMS Music Academy (GMA) is an extra musical activity and a value added programme for your child/ children to participate in and specifically designed to learn or improve on an instrument. The instrumental lessons take place during school hours and the timetable rotates so that your child does not miss the same regular school lesson each week.
(Example: week 1 from 9:00-9:30, Week 2 from 9:30-10:00, etc)
The following GEMS Schools are presently part of the GEMS Music Academy, where our Peripatetic Music Teachers travel to and give lessons each day:

- GEMS Wellington International School (WIS)
- GEMS Wellington Primary School (WPS)

How long are the lessons?
GMA believes that a course of 30 lessons is the appropriate length of time for a student to fully experience the different technical demands of an instrument.
GMA will provide skilled peripatetic music teachers to teach 30 x 30 minute lessons during the academic year or 10 x 30 minute lessons for each term.
Who is the Programme for?
The children must be at least in grade/ year 2. There is no upper limit. The programme is for any student who wishes to learn or improve on a musical instrument.
If space and availability allows we would like to encourage parents as well who would like to take up instrumental or voice lessons. These will be allocated on a first come first served basis, as priority will be given to the children.

Please send the filled in form to gma@gemseducation.com
Once filled in please visit your child’s school accounting department for payment. Once the payment is received, we will schedule the lessons for your child.
What will it cost?
1 Term with 10 lessons: 1,400 AED (terms starting in September, January and April)
3 Terms with 30 lessons: 3,900 AED (to be paid latest by 14th September)
