Parent Involvement at GEMS Wellington Academy - Silicon Oasis

GEMS Wellington Academy – Silicon Oasis encourages parents to be as involved as they can in Academy life and there are many ways to get involved! 

Coffee mornings are held by the Head of Year each term for each year group. These provide an opportunity to learn more about GEMS Wellington Academy - Silicon Oasis in an informal setting, often with a learning based focus to the session.

Many parents offer welcome assistance in the classroom in areas such as reading, hall displays, special event days and excursions.   We will welcome this involvement at GEMS Wellington Academy - Silicon Oasis.

Apart from parent teacher interviews twice a year, regular information sessions are held during the day time and in the evenings about the curriculum and ways you can help your child’s learning at GEMS Wellington Academy - Silicon Oasis. 

Becoming a Parent Class Representative (PCR) or sharing this role with another parent is an excellent way to get involved in Academy life as well as welcoming new families to the UAE and the academy. This also provides opportunities for social interaction for class parents and children outside of school. Various exciting activities will occur throughout the year which are dependent on input from our enthusiastic parent body. 

All GEMS Wellington Academy - Silicon Oasis parents are welcome to be a part of these activities and new  ideas are encouraged.
