Learning without thinking is labor lost; thinking without learning is dangerous.
Head of School’s Welcome
On behalf of my colleagues and the students of Sheikh Zayed Private Academy for Girls I welcome you to our website, which aims to capture the flavor of our school to highlight SZPA’ philosophy through pictures, newsletters, student support services, just to mention a few.
I am confident that the information posted will give you a good idea of the many excellent educational programs our students participate in. We offer rigorous, challenging curricula that focus on inter-relatedness of various disciplines and issues.
Within a supporting and encouraging learning environment, our students are held to high academic expectations that allow for risk taking, supporting each other as we maintain our commitment to be learners. We are seekers of knowledge and passion and committed to engaging instruction and inquiry based learning that meets the developmental needs of our students.
At SZPA, we pride ourselves on being an effective learning community that is based on trust, respect, and integrity allowing all members of the school community to embrace life-long learning. We believe that great education begins with a leap of faith. We embrace open inquiry and welcome collective responsibility that allows for collaboration as well as sharing of problems and solutions among staff, students, parents, and community members.
Thriving in the 21st Century requires the ability to apply sophisticated skills in a variety of settings, solve complex problems individually and collectively, and learn throughout a lifetime. We are committed to preparing all students to succeed in a demanding and ever changing global world as they gain a strong outlook on internationalism, which fosters tolerance and respect for the world’s cultures and differing perspectives.
