My name is Jenny Evans and I am from the North West of England. I am really looking forward to moving back to Dubai this summer and working at Wellington International School. I am currently Head of Music, Media and Performing Arts at a small secondary school in Lancashire so coming to teach primary music will be an exciting change for me! I have been teaching music in the classroom for 3 years and I love every minute. Before training as a classroom teacher I worked for a number of music services in the North West and at the Centre for Musical Arts in Dubai as a woodwind teacher.

 

I am passionate about music education and believe all children should have the opportunity to be involved in all kinds of music making. My own musical training was as a performer so I enjoy teaching practical and exciting lessons where students have a real musical experience. I believe it is important that music is not only a class subject in schools but that it is also part of the whole school life. I look forward to involving myself in all kinds of musical activities at school; giving the students opportunities to share their talents with their families, friends and the people of Dubai.

 

My interests outside of school include travelling to different countries, meeting new people, socialising with friends, making music and going to concerts. I also cannot wait to enjoy the year round sunshine and incredible beaches in Dubai!
