Department Philosophy:

All Teachers having a lap top and access to internet and use ICT in Teaching and learning.

Key Points from Department Policy:

  • Monitoring and assessing the work of staff using agreed job descriptions, targets and performance indicators and identifying INSET requirements.
  • Ensuring that schemes of work are prepared and updated devising a planned programme for evaluating it.
  • Make sure students are encouraged to produce useful and interactive display material.
  • Homework is assigned, discussed and marked with positive  and formative comments.
  • Teachers need to keep record of assessments on a regular basis which is self-explanatory. 
  •  In terms of planning ensure that there is clear evidence in the form of three part lessons- starter, main development  and plenary lessons to be interactive.
  • All Teachers having a lap top and access to internet and use ICT in Teaching and learning

Assessment Procedure: 
As per school Policy – All assessments are framed in the same pattern as the CIE Exams. Assessments comprise of a  variety of continuous assessment tasks such as class work, homework, projects and a written exam .
Assessments are conducted regularly and marked diagnostically. Performance is analysed

Extra-curricular Activities:

  • Business Week – competitions held every year include - Business Quiz, Display Board Quiz, Business Stalls, Advertising Enactment and Poster making competitions.   
  • YEC - held under the patronage of H.E Sheikh Mohd Bin Rashid Al Maktoum every year where students display their entrepreneurial skills.
  •  Other Competitions

              For e.g. The Commquest organised by Delhi Private School, and

  •  “Be a Banker for a Day” organised by Emirates NBD Jebel Ali Branch. Key    Points from
