A warm welcome to you all, from the staff of The Winchester School.  Winchester is organized according to the National Curriculum for England whereby Secondary is divided into Key Stages 3, 4 and 5.
Key Stage 3, which covers years 7-9 and is for ages 11-14, follows the National Curriculum for England at Key Stage 3.Key Stage 4, which covers years 10 and 11 and is for ages 14-16, follows IGCSE courses with examinations after a 2 year course at the age of 16.
Key Stage 5, which covers years 12 and 13 and is for ages 16-19, follows the AS Level course in Year 12 and the A Level course in Year 13, with examinations to be completed over the 2 year course.
We have over 90+ nationalities at our School and this is celebrated in a wide range of activities. Similarities between cultures are discussed and presented in class. We have theme weeks throughout the year, for example Environmental Week, Mathematics Week, Science Week and Humanities Week to highlight areas of the curriculum.
At The Winchester School, we understand and appreciate that children learn in a multitude of different ways and that within any international school there will be children from a wide variety of backgrounds who bring with them a wealth of different strengths, experiences and interests.
We have high expectations of our pupils, thus pushing them to achieve their own personal goals and dreams. We want all of our pupils to be resilient, independent and responsible learners by the time they leave us, ready to tackle the difficulties of the workplace or extended study at University.
Our pupils rise to the challenge and we work hard with them to attain these standards in all aspects of school life.  Our student body is very vibrant and organizes events for charity and increased awareness of environment under the supervision of the staff.
We are a ‘listening school’, and actively encourage parents to share their concerns with us on a regular basis. The Secondary School Staff are highly qualified, experienced and motivated teachers.
