Senior Leadership Team ( SLT ) As Head of Professional Development for teaching staff and being part of the Winchester School Senior Leadership team, I’m responsible for training staff in different areas of educational pedagogy and practice. I prepare presentations, handouts, surveys, and training instructions for the staff. I also prepare the school’s professional development calendar, run INSETS and training workshops, register staff for educational conferences, analyze the impact of training, and liaise with GEMS Education head office on matters related to PD.The key areas I’d like to focus on for the year 2012-13 would be to help staff develop a greater familiarity with the National Curriculum Programme of Study and related expectations; Encourage differentiation in the classroom; Cater to Multiple Intelligences in the classroom; Develop greater use of educational software and web 2.0 tools; and Encourage active, independent, and creative learning in the classroom.
The school is now a CIE accredited centre to deliver the Cambridge International Certificate for Teachers and Trainers. I am the accredited programme leader for this.
