Extra Curricular Activities

Before and After School and Holiday Provision

Being a parent can be very demanding. It is not always easy to organise your schedule around traditional school hours and holidays. That is why we provide our wrap around service.

The service cares for children in a learning environment that combines education and childcare - a concept we call 'educare'.

The core service is from 8:30am - 3:30pm, and includes a snack and lunch. Please see the Schedule of Fees for further details.

You can flexibly book your hours from 7.30am to 6.00pm for up to 48 weeks of the year.

Breakfast

Breakfast Club is open during term time from 7.30 - 8.30am and breakfast is served up to 8am. It means busy parents can go to work knowing their children are enjoying a relaxed breakfast with their friends.

Snacks and Lunch

Healthy, balanced snacks and lunches are provided by the school.

After School Care

Our After School Club runs from 3.30-5.45pm up to Year Two and 4.30 – 5.45pm from Year 3. We provided a drink and a biscuit or you may book and pay for a light tea.

There is a range of activities, both indoor and outdoor, for the children to enjoy,

Holiday Time

The wrap around service is open 48 weeks of the year. The service is closed for one week at Christmas, one week at Easter and for two weeks before the autumn term starts.

Our Holiday Adventurers Club is available for children from Reception to Year 6. The Sherfield Active Club is available for older children. These clubs are run by our own staff and include exciting themed weeks and excursions.

Extra Curricular Opportunities

The extended curriculum provides students with enriching opportunities for learning beyond the taught curriculum.

A wide range of activities and homework are organised during lunchtimes and from 4.45pm to 5.45pm. They include chess, golf, athletics, Army Cadet Force, creative textiles, biomimetics, horse riding, and the Duke of Edinburgh Award.
