GEMS currently employs teachers from a number of countries around the world, including Australia, New Zealand, Canada and America in our British Curriculum schools.
If you are interested in working in an international setting and in particular a GEMS school, you may be concerned about your own professional credentials as far as curriculum is concerned. This may not be the problem you think.
If you have experience teaching in a Canadian, Australian, New Zealand or South African school and you have been proactive in developing courses and curriculum materials for a range of student abilities then you should be well able to adapt to the type of curriculum offered by our British curriculum schools.
One view held by GEMS is that there are very strong similarities amongst all of the recognised curricula around the world. The competent, creative and professionally motivated teacher will find that their skills are transferable.
In other words, we are looking for excellent classroom practitioners who are able to interpret and develop curriculum deliver it well. Are you such a person? If so we would like to hear from you. We welcome ALL to apply.
