GEMS recognises that our schools and students are part of a larger community. As part of its ongoing commitment to enriching the lives of individuals and the community GEMS supports a variety of community involvement programmes across the world.
Committed to the education of children, GEMS supports over 2,300 students in need every year through the provision of free and subsidised education. Bi-annually, the students of GEMS Schools participate in the "Children for Children" fundraising activity.
In schools, GEMS core values of World Citizenship and Universal Values are supported through active encouragement of community spirit through which students develop a sense of responsibility and connection with the community they live in.
Each GEMS school is involved in annual fund raising activities, designed, organised and implemented by the students themselves. In addition to learning the valuable skills of organizing, promoting and becoming involved in group activities, students of GEMS managed schools learn the value of sharing with others and contributing to enrich the lives of others. Funds raised through these activities are donated to local charities involved in enriching the lives of children and individuals.
