Children in the Nursery are introduced to early learning through carefully structured programmes.  As they progress through Nursery they are introduced to early literacy and numeracy.

In Reception, all children are introduced to reading, number work, creative and cursive writing and early science, and these foundations are developed further in Year 1, where new experiences are introduced.

Throughout the Infants, the children have opportunities to broaden their skills in Art, Music, Physical Education and Computing with specialist teaching where appropriate.

As children move into Years 1 and 2, they continue to build on the strong foundations of literacy and numeracy Whilst continuing to provide all children with opportunities in the full range of National Curriculum subjects, and more.

As the curriculum progresses into Year 3 and beyond the pupils are taught separate subjects by specialist staff. History, Geography, Religious Studies, Drama and PSHE are all added to the core subjects of Mathematics, English and Science. In addition, Art, Design Technology, Music, Information Communication Technology and Physical Education are further augmented.

The curriculum evolves further as children progress up through the School.  Although the curriculum is designed to provide breadth and balance there is a large portion of the timetable allocated to English and Mathematics as the pupils are prepared for the demands of the entrance examinations into the Independent Senior Day Schools.

The vast majority of children move on to schools such as Manchester Grammar School, Withington Girls School, Manchester High School, Stockport Grammar School, Cheadle Hulme School.
