At present the School has a fully equipped ICT room where up to 12 pupils (1/2 maximum class size) can work individually at a PC machine. There facilities were updated with
Windows XP Pro flat screen machines in 2005 and allow pupils to access their work through a server supported system.
All children have secure access for Internet searching and the use of e-mails to help communication skills. All classes, including Foundation pupils, have access to a PC , networked throughout the school to support work being done in others lessons.
With the new facilities becoming available ICT will expand to a fully equipped suite with 20 new machines.
Apart from being taught computing skills and techniques, ICT is used to support work being done in all areas of the curriculum and much use is made of interactive whiteboards in classrooms. Apart from computing, children are taught and encouraged to use other pieces of technological equipment such as digital cameras, tape recorders, DVD players, videos and programmable toys.
