Currently all children have easy access to classroom libraries which are supported by two dedicated libraries for Key Stage 1 and 2 pupils.2025
With the development of the new facilities this will be expanded to provide a large stock of reading and resource materials that pupils will be able to take to the adjacent ‘Board Room’ where they can study in relaxed and comfortable surroundings.
Whilst books are an important source of knowledge children need to have this supported by DVD’s and computer based information on CD Roms and The Internet.
It is very important children are given the skills and knowledge so as to make informed decisions as to what are the best resources to use for various types of research.
