GEMS Malaysia two young students in costume dress up day
Enrolling now

A very warm welcome to our GEMS International School – Pearl City, Penang, the first international school on mainland Penang.

We opened our doors to this ultra modern, state-of-the art school in September 2015, offering an exceptional standard of education to children aged 3-18, from kindergarten all the way up to year 13.

Located off the Penang North-South Highway and close to the Pearl City Mall, the school benefits from a central location that draws children from a diverse range of cultures and backgrounds.

We teach the English National Curriculum to all our students to reflect the international standing of our school. We're passionate about the opportunities the British curriculum can offer our students, and are thrilled to teach a curriculum that can open doors to so many prestigious higher education establishments. Today, the British curriculum is taught in over 150 countries, all over the world.

We also teach Bahasa Malaysia, Malaysian history and moral/Islamic studies, which are compulsory for all our Malaysian students, to create a strong sense of the culture of this vibrant country.

As a new school, all our pupils will have access to an outstanding level of facilities, from the latest classroom and ICT technology, to unparalleled sports, performing arts, culture and science equipment.

Beyond the classroom there’s plenty to exercise body and mind with a wide range of extra-curricular activities on offer. Regular enrichment activities will include team and individual sporting pursuits along with plenty of creative, musical and artistic options to help uncover and develop your child’s talents.
