Established in 2012, GEMS Westminster School – Sharjah, is a modern, state-of-the-art school that offers an exceptional standard of education to children from around the world. The school currently enrols students from foundation stage to year 9; however the school will grow with our pupils up to year 13 in successive years.
To reflect the international standing of our school and the cosmopolitan nature of Sharjah, the third largest city in the UAE, we teach all our pupils the National Curriculum for England. This internationally recognised programme of study prepares children for the International General Certificate of Education (IGCSE), Advanced Subsidiary (AS) Level and A Level Examinations. These qualifications are accepted by the world’s leading colleges and universities.
The facilities at this newly built international school include a large indoor sports hall, an outdoor football pitch, cricket nets, state-of-the-art science, music and art laboratories, ICT and electronics suites, a well stocked library, and spacious classrooms for all our primary and secondary pupils.
An exciting programme of extra-curricular activities has an important part to play in developing the abilities of all students, wherever their talents lie. Along with plenty of field trips, cultural, environmental and social events, there is also a wide range of sporting and interest based activities on offer.
