Masters Student, Human Molecular Genetics
Originally from the Netherlands, Kristal Shehata graduated from Jumeirah College in 2009.
After school Krsital went on to achieve First Class Honours in Biochemistry at King’s College, London. She was awarded the Barry Prize for the highest first year prize in the school of Biomedical Sciences.
She is completing a Masters at Imperial College focusing on Human Molecular Genetics, which involves a 6 month research project investigating the genetic relationship between myopia and type II diabetes.
She completed a summer studentship at the MRC Centre for Developmental Neurobiology, which was funded by King’s College.
