GEMS Cambridge International School, Dubai Relocation

Effective September 2020, GEMS Cambridge International School will relocate to a campus located in Al Twar

GEMS Cambridge International School, Dubai (CIS) has been faithfully serving its community of students, parents and staff since we opened 37 years ago. In order to facilitate the very best in learning environments for the students of CIS, the school has been working over the summer to find an alternative campus that meets our safety and facility requirements.

Effective September 2020, GEMS Cambridge International School will relocate to a campus located in Al Twar. The new site offers significantly enhanced facilities, and allows further enhancement of the 37-year legacy of CIS. The new campus in Al Twar already boasts a dedicated Early Years Foundation (EYFS) learning area with a large indoor free-flow learning space and self-contained washrooms in all classrooms. All classrooms across all phases of the building are much larger – 50 square metres compared to the 30 square metres at our current Garhoud site. There are two indoor swimming pools, an indoor sports hall with four badminton courts, air-conditioned corridors and an indoor canteen area. In addition, there is an auditorium with a seating capacity of 800 and learning spaces for the development of performing arts.

We will do everything to ensure the upcoming transition is smooth and seamless for our community – with an emphasis on meeting the highest health and safety standards set out by the authorities.

We understand that some families may wish to explore other school options, in which case we are on hand to assist families in making these choices. Any families who choose to transfer will be eligible for a refund in accordance with KHDA guidelines.

The entire team at GEMS Cambridge International School is looking forward to welcoming the CIS community to the new campus in September.
