24 students from five GEMS Education schools achieve outstanding results in the 2015 edition of the awards
Cambridge International School student receives ‘Top in World’ award
Dubai, UAE: Students from GEMS Education schools in the UAE have been given awards from the Cambridge International Examinations to acknowledge their outstanding performance in the 2015 Cambridge examinations cycle
The Outstanding Cambridge Learner Awards celebrates the success of learners taking Cambridge examinations in over 40 countries around the world. Hundreds of outstanding learners from the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region will receive awards for their exceptional performance in the 2015 examinations.
Mohammed Faiyaz Huq from Cambridge International School, Dubai received the ‘Top in the World’ results in the Travel and Tourism Examination, while 10 other GEMS students received results that were ‘Top in the Country’. ‘High Achievement’ awards were also given to 13 GEMS students.
Peter Burdon, who has recently joined GEMS Education as Chief Schools Officer, congratulated students on their success. “These awards recognise the extraordinary achievements of our students and teachers. Their commitment to their education and their hard work is celebrate through these prestigious awards. On behalf of GEMS Education, we congratulate each student and look forward to supporting them on the upward journey to even greater achievement and success,” he said.
The students recognised were from The Cambridge High School Abu Dhabi, Cambridge International School, The Winchester School Dubai, GEMS Wellington Academy – Silicon Oasis and GEMS Wellington International School.
