Project 1: Green Initiative

The project was created by grade 6,7,8 students to present for Green Initiative 2023 by Ras Al Khaimah Public Service Department. Students created a working model for the green initiative and won first place in the private school sector in Ras Al Khaimah. The algae hydro dam is useful in various settings such as industries, factories, and more. It is highly sustainable and long-lasting. This system can produce a voltage of 72 volts, generating enough energy to power industries for an extended period.

Project 2: Best out of the Waste

Internal School Competition

WSR organized a best-out-of-the-waste competition, which saw enthusiastic participation from students across all grades. The competition served as a platform for students to showcase their incredible skills in repurposing and transforming waste materials into innovative creations. Participants utilized various discarded items such as plastic bottles, cardboard boxes, and old newspapers to create a wide range of impressive artworks, functional objects, and even fashion accessories. We aim to hold a termly waste reduction competition.

Project 3: Biodiversity Wall

Internal School Initiative

WSR took the initiative to create a Green wall. This innovative project aimed to not only enhance the aesthetics of the surrounding area but also promote and nourish biodiversity. The Green Wall, a vertical garden composed of various plant species, served as a living ecosystem and provided numerous benefits to the environment. The green wall is home to 40 pairs of different seasonal birds. Additionally, the Green Wall acted as a natural air purifier by absorbing harmful pollutants and releasing oxygen into the atmosphere. The Green Wall showcases our commitment to sustainable practices and serves as an inspiration for other communities to embrace similar initiatives.

Project 4 Sustainability from words to action Internal School Initiative

Our Eco leaders took the initiative to create a video to showcase our efforts throughout the year. We tried to raise awareness and inspire others to take action. The video summarizes the key sustainability initiatives and accomplishments that our team and our school have undertaken over the year. We made an effort to share the measurable impact of our sustainability initiatives. Whether it's reduced carbon emissions, saved energy, waste reduction, or any other positive outcome. We highlighted the tangible results of our actions.

Project 5: Plastic free Challenge

Internal School Initiative

Here at WSR, our team has taken up the challenge of becoming plastic-free by December 2023. It requires a comprehensive and committed approach so we decided to remove single-use plastic cups and plastic water bottles by gifting each of our staff a reusable tea cup and plastic bottles and placing water dispensers all over the school.

Our School canteen is committed to providing recyclable food packaging and excluding single-use plastic
