After graduating from Dubai American Academy, I had moved to Canada to continue my studies where I specialized in jewellery and metals. I then started working in various sectors within the jewellery industry where I designed custom jewellery and was teaching 3D Jewellery Design classes at my alma mater.
Before moving back to Dubai, I also helped in establishing a company called VENA NOVA that specializes in lab grown diamond jewellery in Canada. Now, I am currently managing and teaching at Dubai Design Academy where we focus on training jewellery designing and making. I specialize in teaching concept development, 3D design and printing as well as discussing technical production standards in jewellery.
One piece of advice I would like to share would be to take advantage of every opportunity because you never know where it may lead you. A lot of the times we tend to give up if we don’t excel at something right away, however, with time in practice, it might lead you to your calling. I also encourage everyone to pursue something they are passionate about and to do it well. When you are passionate about the work that you do, it helps you push the boundaries of your capabilities.
Take advantage of every opportunity because you never know where it may lead you!
