Privacy Policy

Terms and Conditions for GEMS Education Alumni Campaign (“Campaign”), sponsored by GEMS Group Holdings Limited Dubai Branch, a branch of a limited liability company registered in the Dubai International Financial Centre with license number 804262 (“GEMS Education”).

By entering this Campaign, all participants agree to be bound by these terms and conditions.

Entry Requirements:

  1. To participate in the Campaign, participants must submit their details, testimonials, photos / videos and other requested content (“Content”) as specified on the Campaign page on the website.

Eligibility:

  1. Participants must be an alumnus of GEMS Education in the UAE. GEMS Education reserves the right to ask for proof of enrolment for verification.

General Terms:

  1. GEMS Education reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to disqualify any entry that does not comply with the entry requirements or is in breach of these terms and conditions.
  2. GEMS Education reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to modify these terms and conditions or to cancel, amend or suspend the Campaign at any time without prior notice if required for legal, regulatory or operational reasons.
  3. By entering the Campaign, each participant agrees that their entry, including but not limited to, their Content or other submissions, will not: (i) infringe the intellectual property rights of any third party; (ii) defame others, or include any content which is obscene, abusive, discriminatory, offensive, hateful or inflammatory; and/or (iii) promote or incite violence or illegal activities.
  4. By entering the Campaign, each participant hereby grants GEMS Education, its affiliates and authorised third parties a fully paid up, non-exclusive, assignable, sublicensable, worldwide, perpetual license to use, display, reproduce, distribute, modify (for formatting purposes), and publicly perform the Content for promotional, advertising and editorial purposes related to the Campaign and other activities. This license includes, but is not limited to, posting or linking to the Content on our and partners’ websites and applications, and promotion of the Content on any other media, worldwide.
  5. These terms and conditions are governed by the laws of the Emirate of Dubai and the federal laws of the United Arab Emirates, as applied in the Emirate of Dubai. Each Participant agrees to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of the Dubai International Financial Centre for the purpose of litigating all claims or disputes.

Privacy:

  1. Campaign submissions and all information relating thereto or submitted in connection therewith are subject to the GEMS Education Privacy Policy, available at https://www.gemseducation.com/en/Privacy-Policy as updated from time to time.
  2. Participation in the Campaign constitutes consent to GEMS Education’s use of the Participant’s name, likeness, image, voice, biographical details, and Content for editorial, advertising, and publicity purposes without additional compensation, except where prohibited by law. The Participant releases, indemnifies and holds harmless GEMS Education and its affiliates from any liability, claims and causes of action based on defamation or violation of rights of publicity or privacy.
  3. Any personal data relating to the winner or any other participants will be used solely in accordance with applicable data protection laws (including Federal Decree-Law No. 45/2021 on the Protection of Personal Data) and will not be disclosed to a third party without the participant’s prior consent , except as required for prize fulfilment or as set out in the Privacy Policy.
