Going beyond the traditional concept of a school education
Joining GEMS Education and being part of our family of schools means gaining access to a wide array of programmes, initiatives and benefits that go well beyond the traditional concept of a school education.
We strongly believe in the importance of instilling fundamental human values in our students – and then celebrating our students’ acts of kindness, empathy, compassion and respect. The GEMS Jewels of Kindness & Respect initiative encourages all GEMS Education students to think about being kind and respectful to their friends, family and wider community, anchored to the belief that children learn best when there is close collaboration between home and school on core values.
Centres of Excellence
GEMS Education has established five ground-breaking Centres of Excellence designed to deliver outstanding provision of future technological and digital learning experiences and prepare students for a rapidly changing world. Operated in partnership with key industry players in the public and private sectors, these Centres provide students with game-changing opportunities in areas including Artificial Intelligence and Robotics, Digital Industries and Sustainability, Aviation and Space, Performance and Theatre Technologies, and Entrepreneurship and Youth Start-up.
The future-focused research and development arm of GEMS Education, GEMS X has a vision of redefining learning and school through the lens of work, technology and inter-connected societies of the future. To find out more, visit the GEMS X website.

All GEMS Education schools in the UAE are working with UN:CC Learn – The United Nations Climate Change Learning Partnership – to bring world-class environmental education to every child across the GEMS Education network. In 2019, Candice Wright, a teacher at GEMS FirstPoint School – The Villa, became the first teacher in the UAE to be UN:CC-accredited. Later in the year, The Kindergarten Starters become the world’s first fully UN-accredited Climate Change School.
Quality Assurance Programme
GEMS Education’s Quality Assurance Programme embodies our promise to parents, to listen to their needs, take on board their feedback and act accordingly. It recognises how vital it is that we get closer to our families and better understand their requirements and circumstances, resulting in improved learning outcomes and altogether happier students, parents and staff.
