The school is to have a two-phased expansion and Phase One is scheduled for completion in August 2024.

Students at GEMS FirstPoint School – The Villa (FPS) are set to benefit from an ambitious two-phased expansion and development plan, the latest in a series of expansions within GEMS Education schools to match unprecedented growth in student numbers over the past 12 months.

With Phase One scheduled for completion in August 2024, and Phase Two in August 2025, the expansion reflects FPS’ commitment to delivering top-tier facilities and fostering academic excellence.

The first phase encompasses the construction of a cutting-edge Sixth Form Centre covering an area of approximately 600 sqm, alongside the introduction of new sports facilities and modern classrooms designed to optimise the school’s available educational spaces, along with upgrades to a number of existing facilities. Additionally, infrastructure enhancements, including a dedicated bus parking area and boundary wall, will be implemented to enhance the safety of the school community and offer greater convenience.

The second phase encompasses a brand-new building featuring 54 classrooms and a large indoor sports hall that will cater to the growing needs of the school, providing ample space for bespoke learning. Housed within the building will be a specialised language hub, offering an immersive environment for the study of languages including French, Spanish and Arabic.

The two-phased expansion represents a major milestone for FPS, ensuring a vibrant and enriched learning environment for all students, teachers, and parents alike.
